Kissing the earth Goodnight

I was reading this poem and it reminded me of a photo
I took at the weekend and how I was feeling sat waiting
for the sun to set on White horse Hill.

Kissing the earth Goodnight ~

It is dark and warm, and I am waiting.
Waiting for the unknown, that uncertain future,
One that I yearn for, but know not why.
At last today is the first day that I will open my eyes
to the world.

Finally

It is bright and loud and harsh and beautiful
And I am a part of it.
The world spins as the wind sways me from side to side
I let it carry me and I am uprooted from my home
By an unseen force -
I am chosen for my beauty but it kills me inside.
With the setting sun- so too sets the curtain on my existence.
I shut my eyes as the sun slips beneath the horizon-
My final vision of the world is the sun's rays
Kissing the earth goodnight.
